We greatly value your support and rely solely on personal donations made by generous donors to run the orphanage. Every contribution helps and is hugely appreciated. It only costs a relatively small amount of money per month to feed and clothe the children, as well as pay for their education. The other main costs of running the orphanage go on things like building repairs, prevention of Malaria and other diseases prevalent in the area, and general hospital bills and medical treatment.

Donate other things

When considering sending items to the children, we deeply appreciate your well-intentioned gestures. We acknowledge that the act of sending tangible goods holds a special sentimental value, surpassing the more impersonal nature of monetary contributions. However, it's important to consider a few factors:

  • Postal costs associated with sending packages, especially larger ones, can be substantial. Redirecting such funds towards purchasing actual items for the children may prove more beneficial.
  • Local procurement of essential items such as clothing, school stationery, toiletries, and food is often more cost-effective than obtaining them from Western sources.
  • Past experiences have shown that customs in Thailand may detain donated items, with a seemingly random process. Despite our legal registration as a charity in Thailand, we have encountered situations where substantial amounts had to be paid to release donated items.

Your understanding and support in these matters are invaluable as we strive to ensure the well-being of the children in our care.
